What is a miracle?
A miracle is a discernible, divine act in the world - outside, above, or beyond the natural order of things - which manifests some aspect of God’s power and love.
Jesus performed many miracles. Why? To prove to his followers that he is who he says he is – The Son of God.
Jesus said, “This is my body. This is my blood.” and many of his followers left him saying, “That is a hard teaching.”
Can miracles still happen? They can and do! Every time a Mass is said, a miracle happens. The bread and wine we offer becomes the body and blood of Christ through the miracle we call transubstantiation. Sometimes, even now, God sends us a miracle to help us in our unbelief.
The Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibition consists of 158 panels about Eucharistic Miracles, several of which have occurred in the last twenty years.
As researched and compiled by Blessed Carlo Acutis, and promoted in the U.S. by the Real Presence Eucharistic Education and Adoration Association, all 158 panels will be on display in Monsignor Schafer Hall at St. Mark the Evangelist Parish, 535 Edgewood Ave, Indianapolis on Saturday, October 7th from 10:30AM to 7PM and Sunday, October 8th from 8AM to 5PM. All are welcome. There is no cost for admission but free will offerings are always appreciated.Do you believe Jesus is really and truly present in the Eucharist? Whether you do – or even if you’re not quite sure – you’re sure to find this exhibition quite interesting. Don’t miss it!
