Today, newscasters, politicians and pundits are pretty confused as to what is “Real” news and what is “Fake” news.  At Catholic Radio Indy we’re only concerned with the GOOD NEWS…the fact that there is an eternal God… that His only Son suffered and died to save us from our sins, so that one day we might spend eternity with Him in Heaven.

That is a simple story but, the fact is, many people don’t know it… or don’t believe it… or have simply forgotten it. That’s why at Catholic Radio Indy we devote 24 hours a day to seeing that this Good News is available to people all over central Indiana… on their radios, their computers, even their cellphones and mobile device.

Anyone can tune in day or night whether they just want to learn more about the Catholic Faith… want to thank the Lord for His blessings… ask for help or healing for loved ones… or maybe they’re considering an abortion or suicide.  We never know who is listening.  We just know that it is important for us to be there when they need us.

All of our services are FREE.  But, in spite of our very modest operation, it still costs well over $1,000 per day to keep this ministry going.

We’ve been on the air for 13 years now… through some pretty rough times, but by the grace of God and your generosity we’ve been able to stay on the air.

Can you fund this ministry for one day? Maybe, a half day? Whatever amount you can send us right now will make a difference in the lives of area people.  It will help us together do what Jesus asked us to do… spread the Good News to the ends of the earth.

May God Bless You and Your Family.

By computer and driving
I listen to Catholic radio as much as I can, on the computer and while I drive. I especially like Catholic Answers during afternoon drive time.

Keep it up and God bless 89.1 FM!

Newly arrived from Connnecticut

I just wanted to tell you how much I love your radio station. My family moved here last June from Connecticut and I feel so blessed that we found your
station. There was nothing like it back in CT as far as I know. We plan to make a donation soon so you can continue your excellent spiritual work.

God bless you all.

Cindy S., Zionsville

Thank you for your station, from Malaysia

I’m [name removed], from MALAYSIA - a Muslim nation which prohibited the use of radio and Internet for Christian missions.

I used to go for daily Mass, and now when I came back to my hometown in Sabah, I do not have the opportunity to go for daily Mass.

I’ve been searching for an online radio where Catholics can listen to the Catholic stuff, and thank God that through the Universalis.com, I found your station which made me really happy to be able to join the daily Mass in spirit and prayers and faith of Catholicity, though I can’t go for the daily communion. I’m just able to do it spiritually.

I thank God for this station. It reached me in Malaysia.

God bless!

Regards,

Mr. [name removed],

Christian appreciates Catholic radio programs

Was raised in the Catholic Church as a child but left and eventually became Christian believing all who sincerely profess faith in Christ to be Christian.

Listen to Catholic radio and find some programs interesting. Listen to Father Groeschel who seems firm in his beliefs but fair in his treatment of other Christians that are not Catholic. Listen to Kresta due to interesting subject matter at times, and he seems to be fair to other non-Catholic Christians.

Catholic Radio Indy is awesome!

I’ve been listening since the beginning and Catholic Radio has been awesome for me. I’ve been driven forward in the faith and it’s kept me from just ‘being baptized and stalling out.’ It catapulted me into scripture study, faith and being an active Catholic. I believe that God gave me your radio station as a personal gift. I was baptized two years ago, so the timing was awesome! Thank you and hope you stay on forever!

We can all honor our calling to share Christ

By listening to, praying for and sharing the Good News of Catholic Radio, we can all honor our fundamental calling to share Christ with the world.

Away 30 years and Back!
I’ve been 30 years away from the faith. Through Catholic Radio, I came back to the church and now have one son who went through RCIA.

maximilian kolbeSt. Maximilian Mary Kolbe
Priest and Martyr 1894-1941
Feast Day - Aug 14th

St. Maximilian Kolbe was a well known communicator, before later becoming a martyr in a Nazi prisoner of war camp. He founded the Knights of the Immaculata, whose aim was to fight evil with the witness of the good life, prayer, work and suffering. His organization founded several houses for religious in Poland and Japan and published a magazine that reached a circulation of over 1,000,000. In Poland he also set up the very first Catholic radio station in that part of the world. The broadcasts were 100% local and featured teaching, music and singing by members of one of his religious communities.

After the fall of Poland in 1939, St. Maximilian and several of his friars were arrested, imprisoned, but later released. Several months later, the Nazis re-arrested St. Maximilian, imprisoned him, which ultimately lead to his being held at Auschwitz prison camp. There, after the escape of a prisoner, the commandant announced that 10 other prisoners, at random, would die in his place. One of those prisoners, when selected by the commandant, stated that he had a wife and children. St. Maximilian Kolbe volunteered to take his place without fanfare. The ten were lead away to be confined in cells where they were allowed to starve to death.
